Even during quarantine, St. Patrick's Day , a major Irish celebration, doesn't have to go unnoticed, much less in silence.

The song "Black Rose" by the band Thin Lizzy is considered by many to be the best Irish rock song of all time. And, in honor of that day, we'll talk a little about it today.

The band, which had one of the biggest hits of its career in 1976 with "The Boys Are Back in Town," experienced great and rapid success during that time, until, unfortunately, in 1986, the vocalist, Phil Lynott, died of pneumonia and heart problems, aggravated by alcohol and drug abuse.

Even with an unfortunate end for the band, the song "Black Rose" has transcended time. The track, about seven minutes long, tells the story of a myth and, at the same time, about the song itself, standing out in the history of Irish rock. Lynott's incredible vocals make the song compel you to sing along loudly, excitedly, perhaps with a beer in hand, why not? In this way, it blends the spirit of St. Patrick's Day with rock and roll .
